Poster Printing

Poster Printing

The EE Department currently offers a FREE poster printing service, for use by EE department affiliates and to students enrolled in EE courses that require a final poster presentation.

Who Can Request a Poster - Generally speaking, to use this service you must be listed as a Stanford Electrical Engineering affiliated author on the submitted poster. The full requirements are below in the ALL THE DETAILS section.

General Information

   1.   To have your poster printed, send your poster in .pdf format to posters@ee.stanford.edu.

DO NOT send your poster to one of the "poster printing folks."  The posters email address automatically notifies all the poster printing folks about your poster and the first one to get to your poster will print it. If you send it to one particular person, they may be out or busy and your poster will be delayed.

Sorry, we cannot accept links to Drive, Box, Dropbox, or other locations.

          Please include

              -  the dimensions (size) of your poster. (The paper is 36" {91.44 cm} so the largest small dimension for a poster is 36 inches.)

              -  the class, conference or event where the poster will be presented.

   2.   You will receive an automated response so you know the email has been received.

   3.   When your poster is ready you will receive an email telling you where it may be picked up.

More Details -

Posters can be SUBMITTED at any time. Just email them to posters@ee.stanford.edu.

Posters will be PRINTED -

When COMPLETE, the poster owner will receive an email to that effect containing the location where they may pick-up the poster.

Finished posters will be hung on a wall in a location where they may be picked up at any time. POSTERS WILL NOT BE DELIVERED.

PLEASE DISPOSE OF THE TAPE!  DO NOT LEAVE IT FOR OTHERS TO CLEAN UP.

During busy periods, no poster will be re-printed until all posters in the queue have been printed once.

If there are problems (of any type) that prevent a poster from being printed, the person submitting the poster will immediately be notified so they may address the issues.

All re-submitted posters go to the end of the queue.

All posters must be submitted at least three (3) hours before the beginning of the poster session at which they are to be displayed.

POSTERS SENT AFTER THE THREE (3) HOUR CUTOFF WILL NOT BE PRINTED.

Example: I have a poster session at 4:00 PM; I will need to email my poster by 1:00 PM for it to be printed.

ALL THE DETAILS -

The most often asked question is, "Can you print this poster for me?" So here is how to find out if we can print the poster for you -

You MUST be listed as an author on the poster to have your poster eligible for printing.

Usually this means that the work presented in the poster must have been done at Stanford.

Posters submitted on behalf of others WILL NOT be printed and if you do this repeatedly, you may lose your printing privilege.

We WILL NOT print posters for folks from other institutions attending Stanford events.

        - EE-AFFILIATES

EE-affiliates are undergraduate EE majors, EE co-term students, EE masters students, EE Ph.D. students, EE faculty, and EE staff.

        - STUDENTS ENROLLED IN AN EE CLASS THAT REQUIRES A FINAL POSTER PRESENTATION

We print posters ONLY to fulfill the requirements of the EE class that requires the poster.

Being enrolled in an EE class DOES NOT qualify you to have posters printed for other classes.

If you are not a member of one of these groups, we are sorry, but we are unable to help.

YES, we do actually check the author affiliation on each and every poster.

There are alternative poster printing services on campus including Lathrop Library and FedEx / Kinko's in Tressider.

In any case, we wish you good luck with your poster presentation and hope that your work is well received.
